PVC insulated flexible single core, manufactured with bright annealed bare copper conductor for flexible use, insulated with Di- Electric grade PVC Compound. Impervious to oil, water, petrol, acids and greases generally for working voltage up to and including 1100 Volts.
A cable consists of two main parts: The Conductor and the Insulation.
The company manufactures and stocks a wide range of Screened Instrumentation Cables needed for signaling systems, control and instrument circuits. These cables report and monitor process variables ranging from transducers to environmental controls and computer inputs. The carefully produced stranded copper conductors used in the cable maintain high system accuracy and sensitivity. Maximum rejection of electromagnetic noise is achieved by twisting the insulated conductors. Twisting causes the noise to be cancelled in adjacent sections of the wire.
Maximum electrostatic noise rejection is achieved by shielding the cable with aluminium-mylar tape. An overall shield is normally provided and in critical applications an individual shield over each pair or triad is also provided. A minimum of 25% overlap of the shield ensures 100% coverage even when the cable is flexed. The drain wire under the shield provides continuous low resistance path to ground and simplified hook-up at grounding terminals. The cables can also be provided with copper braid screening.
Individual insulated conductors are twisted together with a uniform lay to form a pair. The length of the lay of each pair is different from that of the adjacent pair to enable the cable to meet the capacitance unbalance and cross talk requirements of the specifications. The Pairs are colour coded for easy identification.
The twisted Pairs are stranded in a single unit of 10, 20&25 Pairs, Wrapped helically with an identification colour binder. For higher number of Pairs cable, a number of units are stranded together to form a super unit. A coloured identification binder is wrapped around the super units for easy identification.
This conductor is made from aluminium-magnesium-silicon alloy of high electrical conductivity containing enough magnesium silicate to give it better mechanical properties after treatment. These conductors are generally made out of aluminium alloy 6201. AAAC CONDUCTOR has a better corrosion resistance and better strength to weight ratio and improved electrical conductivity than ACSR CONDUCTOR on equal diameter basis.
ACSR conductors consist of a solid or stranded steel core surrounded by strands of aluminum (E.C. GRADE). ACSR conductors are available in a wide range of steel, containing carbon from 0.5% to 0.85 %. The higher strength ACSR conductors are used for river crossings, overhead ground wires, installations involving extra long spans etc. Against any given resistance of conductor, ACSR may be manufactured for having a wide range of tensile strength as per the requirement.
The principal advantage of these conductors is high tensile strength so that they are used for longer spans with less supports. Due to the greater diameter of ACSR conductors a much higher corona limit can be obtained causing big advantages on high as well as extra high voltage overhead lines.
